Hey everyone,
So we’ve been a little busy with life, it feels like we are never home. Here is a break down on things that have been going on in our lives since July.
We had a wonderful 4th of July at Leslie’s house, even if I did jump into Heather’s lap when we started setting off fireworks ;) I had my first Stella & Dot Jewelry Party in Susanville, Noelle was the host of the party. It was so much fun and helped me feel more comfortable with doing my next party.
On July 30th, I surprised Jesse with a trip to Las Vegas for our 1 year anniversary, Noelle and Wayne watched Ian for the weekend. We saw a show, gambled, walked slow, held hands, and took in the sites. It was a great mini vacation/partial honeymoon, since we have yet to take ours.
August has seem to be just as crazy busy as July. We spent a week in North Carolina for the DeGraf summer family vacation. Everyday we woke up on to the sound of the waves. It was a wonderful week of waking up, having breakfast, going down to the beach for a few hours, going to the house to eat lunch, then back down to the beach. Ian was fearless with the waves and loved every minute of the time he was down there. He dug in the sand, chased some crabs, picked up dead jellyfish, flew a kite, read books, did a puzzle, eat good food, saw a fox and played with a water hose (which he seemed to enjoy spraying people with). Jesse and I were able to sleep in every morning as Leslie took care of Ian (even slept in the same room with him all week). It was fantastic!

Now I will get to the exciting part of our lives. We are in the process of purchasing a house in Placerville. We currently have an offer on a home that we love and as off last night the owners were putting together their counter-offer. I can’t believe we are so close to owning our first home together. There is a backyard for Ian, enough room for a garden for me, and a nice big room for Jesse’ office. It’s a beautiful home, and in a smaller town which is what we wanted.

Well that concludes my update for now. I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer and we love you all :)

So, I’ve setup our blog to be editable from Windows Live Writer now, which is a great blog publishing software that’s free for Windows users. I can even post pictures from my iPhone!

We hope that this advancement will get us to update more often.

We’re horrible at updating our site. We should really work on that, my apologies.

All is well, Ian is huge, summer is hot.

That is all!

Hello everyone!

I know it’s been awhile since we have posted anything, sorry for that, but I now know the login and password so I can update our blog more often :) So here is what’s been going on in our lives…

Jesse and I have just celebrated our 6th month of wedding bliss and we seem to be really enjoying this “being married” thing. We have our routines down to a science now, but we still keep each other on our toes, Ian likes to help with that as well. Speaking of Ian, he is getting so big, such the little man. He is saying a new word almost everyday and just putting him in “big boy” clothes allows us to really see the boy he is growing up to be.

Jesse is working really hard, managing low-voltage subs for HMH. He is currently on three different job sites, and two days out of the week he has to work out of town, which Ian and I have gotten used too.

I’m doing just fine, as well. Being able to stay home with Ian has been a true blessing. I get to watch him do new things and discover new things on a day to day basis. The only down side is I get all the poopy diapers and temper tantrums to handle everyday :)

I hope all is well with everyone and we love you all! I promise we will be better at posting on our blog.

Today marks the beginning of our second month of marriage – and life is good! Then again, we already knew it would be – that’s why we got married! :)

Again, thanks to all of our friends and family who have been there for us (and with us) to make us a happy family!

Hey everyone! Jesse here, and while I know it’s been a while, I have some updates for you guys! Here’s the email that I sent out to all of the family a few weeks ago:

Hello family and friends!

After only 2 months of planning and organizing, Jane Marie and I decided that what we really wanted with our lives was to be married NOW, and not wait another 13 months. So, having already planned a trip to Lake Tahoe to look at venues and vendors for the weekend of 8/1, we decided on Thursday that we were just going to get married while we were there!
We got a small group of family and friends who were near enough to get in the car and meet us there, so on Saturday, August 1st, 2009 Jane Marie Riggs and Jesse Jones became Mr and Mrs Jesse and Jane Marie Jones on the east shore of Lake Tahoe. We had and absolutely perfect ceremony, with our feet in the sand, the water in front of us, and the sun setting over the lake. It honestly couldn’t have been better. My mom even showed up with my sister and baby niece as a surprise!

Now, for those of you who were excited to attend the big wedding next year, we’ve got news! We’re going to have a party next spring (most likely April – we’re working on a date as soon as we can) for all of our friends and family. It will be somewhere nice, with food, drinks, dancing, and karaoke – and we picked next spring so that you’d all have time to plan. Stay tuned!
If you want to keep up with our family and (most importantly) all of Ian’s exploits, you can check the newly-acquired website http://www.JesseAndJanie.com every 5 minutes!
As far as pictures go, I’ve attached a few samples to this email (I didn’t want to clog everyone’s inbox with anything too large), but you can also check out:

So there it is, our update! Thanks for taking the time to read it, and we’d love to hear from each of you!

And just so none of you fee left out, here are some pictures!
